THOUGHTS
Roger had this passage on the back page of our bulletin
yesterday. The precious sustaining nature of God's WORD is the central
theme of Psalms 119. Life is in these words. May we have regard for
these words continually! I must absorb GOD, through His inspired words,
so that I don't end up hating myself. I refer to verse 113, the
double-minded problem.
Ps 119:113-117 I hate those who are double-minded, But I love
Your law. 114 You are my hiding place and my shield; I wait
for Your word. 115 Depart from me, evildoers, That I may observe the
commandments of my God. 116 Sustain me according to Your word,
that I may live; And do not let me be ashamed of my hope. 117
Uphold me that I may be safe, That I may have regard for Your statutes
continually.
Our Prayer:
Father, commit our hearts to a powerful desire to know You
better each day. Help us to grow to maturity in Christ Jesus. May
there be a strong thread of continuity in our lives as we center those lives on
Jesus. Lead us from part-time to full-time, O Lord. Remove all
double-mindedness from us. Help us to see into eternity as we hope in
Your promises. In the name of Jesus, Amen.
